Today we chat with Sam from Puddleducks Handmade Jewellery. Sam can you tell us a bit about where are you from and where do you live? I was born in the UK and migrated to Tasmania in the early 1970's and have lived in Launceston since then · How did you come up with the name for your business? The Puddleducks Handmade name came about because I was making silicone teething necklaces and with the ACCC rulings regarding teething necklaces I started changing my range and fine tuning what I make · What are your passions and interests? I run a monthly market in Trevallyn and my passion apart from creating is offering all makers a platform to showcase their beautiful creations · Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your product? I am a mum of 2 girls - an 18 year old and a 9 year old - I designed hand painted wooden jewellery pieces and polymer clay jewellery pieces · How long have you been an Etsy seller? About 2 years · What inspired you to begin creating? Home / life balance and being able to work around my girls · Sam can you give us a brief idea of your creative process? I individually hand paint wooden beads and the polymer beads are hand mixed and hand rolled · Where do you want to see your business in the future? I would love to sell more online and have a good online presence and possibly wholesale my creations to shops · What do you like about being an Etsy seller?
The ease of using the site · Where do you work on your pieces? At my kitchen bench so I can still be part of what is going in in the world Where can you be found?
