Where are you from and where do you live?
Hobart
How did you come up with the name for your business?
Because I paint, I wanted to keep my artist name as part of the shop name. I also do a lot of other creative stuff so I decided to add Studio to my name to cover the lot! ·

What are your passions and interests?
Painting, sewing, printing, really anything creative is something I'm interested in. I travel often and use the influences from my travels in my creative works. Family life is really important to me and I love how easy it is to combine Etsy and family.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your art?
I believe art is for everyone. I love painting in pastel and acrylics and my shop is filled with small original paintings to add a splash of colour to your walls. Using printing, painting and stamping I decorate handmade bags, cards and cushion covers so that you can wear art, send art and sit on art! I even make hand bound artist books so you can create your own art. I love anything creative and always have new projects on the go .

How long have you been an Etsy seller?
3.75 years. Since Jan 2014 ·

What inspired you to begin creating?
I've always been creative. Mum taught me to cook and sew, I taught myself to paint and the library (and now the internet) taught me how to print, make stamps, and a ton of other arty/crafty skills . I see it, love it, learn to do it and then I teach someone else how to! ·

Can you give us a brief idea of your creative process?
Nature inspires me. Texture, line and colour all influence my art and designs. I've always got my artist's brain on lookout for new ideas and projects. I have a core set of art activities I pursue regularly and passionately and I also have new projects that keep me creatively refreshed and excited. I prefer learning by doing and making so there is always a lot going on in my little studio! ·

Where do you want to see your business in the future?

Over the last year or so custom paintings have really taken off and I would like to see this side of the business grow. I'm trying to narrow my products down and am slowing removing items from my shop so that I can create a more cohesive look. ·

What do you like about being an Etsy seller?
I love having an outlet for my creative projects. It's great being able to work form home. I've met some wonderful clients and been part of creating some very special custom paintings in collaboration with them. It's very rewarding to be able to give others pleasure through my art, to financially support my art and crafts activities and to work from home.

Where do you work on your pieces?
I've converted a bedroom in my home to a studio. It's set up really well with all my studio equipment on wheels, lots of drawers and storage and good lighting.
